This recipe came from my grandmother. She died when I was a teenager and I am happy a cousin gave me this to remember her by. I only have good memories of her and helping her in the kitchen, so this is extra special.

Ingredients

  • 24 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 5 - egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 cup heavy sweet cream (borden's eagle brand sweetened condensed)
  • 5 - egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • CRUST
  • 1 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar

How To Make grandma mcginniss' cheese cake

  • Step 1
    Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar. Press into a springform pan.
  • Step 2
    Mix first five ingredients. Mix in heavy sweet cream. Fold in egg whites. Pour into crust. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
  • Step 3
    Run knife around edge as soon as you take pan out of the oven. Open pan 1/2 hour later.
