Good Morning Cafe Cake
tastiest "Petit-Dejeuner" you could ever offer.
This served with a fresh COINTREAU orange fruit salad. They could not ask you more.. but of course for a second helping...or another piece to go home...
1 pkgyellow cake mix
1/2 cmelted butter
8 ozcream cheese, room temperature
2 cpowdered 10x sugar
1 cheavy cream
1 tspvanilla extract
2 cblack raspberries or red raspberries
How to Make Good Morning Cafe Cake
- Mix components of the bottom layer together. Pour into one 8 inches square or 2 greased pans. I prefer to pour into 2 square pans depending of how much you want your crust to be thick. Do not worry the mixture will be thick. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-30 minutes. Check the doneness. Do not over cook it.
- Mix the middle layer together except the heavy cream.
Whip the heavy cream and FOLD it into the cream cheese.
Spread over the bottom layer.
This should have a good 2 inches thickness..
Now cool in refrigerator for at least two hours or the day before depending on when you plan to serve.
