Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/12 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 - egg
- 3 tablespoons light molasses
- 2 tablespoons boiling water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
How To Make gingerbread

Step 1Mix flour, sugar, butter, ginger, cinnamon, and salt with pastry blender or fork so dough is crumbly. Set aside 1/4 cup for topping.

Step 2Add buttermilk,egg, and molasses; mix baking soda with boiling water before adding to batter. Pour into sheet cake pan.

Step 3Bake at 350 degrees F for about 25 minutes. Sprinkle reserved topping and bake for additional 10-15 minutes.
