Ingredients
- CAKE
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 3 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- CHERRY TOPPING
- 2 cans 14 1/2 oz pitted tart cherries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- WHIPPED TOPPING
- 16 ounces whip cream

Step 1Preheat oven 350 degrees Grease a 9x13 pan.

Step 2Mix the milk, eggs, oil, and vanilla together. Beat until well incorporated. Add the flour, sugar, baking cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well. Pour into prepared pan and bake for about 35 minutes. Until cake springs back when touched in center. Let cool completely

Step 3Cherry topping Drain the cherries reserving 1/2 cup of the juice. Mix the sugar, cornstarch and juice together in a small saucepan. Add the drained cherries and cook until thickened. Let cool

Step 4Spread the cherry mixture on top of the cooled cake. Top with whipped cream. store in fridge.
