fruit cocktail cake

I have made this cake since I was a teenager (in the 70's. I use to fix this for the soldier's at the Army base where we lived. Some of them liked it so well, that they would take up a collection of funds to buy the ingredients or just buy the ingredients for me to cook for their friends and family. :) note: We like the cake because you can slice it and eat it on the go or serve it as a breakfast bread.Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (you can use light or dark)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 - eggs
- 1 can fruit cocktail (15 oz)you can leave whole or mashed the fruut
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make fruit cocktail cake

Step 1Heat your oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Spray a bundt pan or a large 9x12 cake pan with Pam spray.

Step 3Put all ingredients except fruit cocktail,(unless you mash the fruit) into one large bowl and mix until well blended.

Step 4Pour mixture into baking dish and bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes,or until golden brown.
