4 cpeeled, sliced granny smith apples

2 csugar
-
2 cflour
-
1 1/2 tspbaking soda

2 tspcinnamon

1 tspsalt
-
2eggs
-
3/4 cvegetable oil

2 tspvanilla extract

1 cchopped pecans
How to Make Fresh Apple Cake
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, stir together apples and sugar. Add dry ingredients; stir well. In separate bowl, beat eggs, oil, and vanilla. Stir egg mixture into apple mixture, blending until thoroughly moistened. Stir in pecans. Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake 50 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly pressed.
- Serve with warm Apple Dessert Sauce:
1 cup sugar
1/2 butter or margarine
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla
Place all ingredients in saucepan; stir. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook 3 minutes. Serve warm.
