Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 3 cups flour, all-purpose, sifted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 cups apples, tart and chopped
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 2 teaspoons vanilla, pure extract
- FROSTING
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
How To Make fresh apple cake

Step 1Beat the oil and sugar together until well blended. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Sift together flour, salt and soda, add gradually to egg mixture, blending thoroughly. Stir in apples, pecans and vanilla. Pour in greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 60-70 minutes.

Step 2Directions for Frosting: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter with brown sugar; add milk and bring to a rolling boil. Boil for 2 or 3 minutes, cool and add vanilla. If frosting is not thick, beat a few strokes. Frost top and sides of cake.
