Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 11/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 21/2 cups sugar
- 3 medium well beaten
- 11/2 cups mashed bananas
- 11/4 cups buttermilk
- 11/4 teaspoons vanilla
How To Make foolproof super banana cake

Step 1Sift flour, baking powder, baking powder and salt together in a bowl and set aside. Cream shortening, add sugar and continue beating. Add beaten eggs and bananas and mix well. Add the flour alternating with buttermilk and vanilla ending with flour and all well mixed.

Step 2Pour into 2 greased pans of 9 inches, bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 30-40 minutes. I do use the frosting that is in my repertoire of this book. You can if you like.
