Canned peaches also work in this recipe but nothing compares to fresh. Apples, plums and nectarines also work well in this recipe. Mix and match if you want.

  • 1` pkg
    spice cake mix
  • 1 c
    quick cooking oats
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 c
    butter, melted

  • 6 c
    sliced peeled peaches, about 7 lg
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 4 tsp
    lemon juice
  • ·
    whipped cream or ice cream optional

How to Make EZ Peach Cobbler


  1. CRUST...Combine dry cake mix, oats, walnuts and melted butter. Mix Well. Press 2 1/2 cups of crumble mixture firmly into bottom of greased 9x13 pan. Set aside remaining crumbs for topping.
  2. FILLING...In a saucepan combine peaces, water and brown sugar. Simmer over low heat for 5 min, stirring occasionally. Mix cornstarch and lemon juice until smooth. Add to peaches. Cook stirring, until thickened. Pour over crust. Sprinkly reserved crumbs over fruit.
  3. Bake 25-30 min or until topping is lightly browned. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
