My Grandma W always made chocolate cake with white frosting, which I never personally understood. My preference is chocolate frosting on chocolate cake. However, I don't believe I have met a cake I don't like (okay, cherry, or red velvet, but not much else!).

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup hershey's cocoa
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup boiling water
- - buttercream frosting

Step 1Oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 9" pans or a 9x13. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, powder, soda and salt. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat 2 min. Stir in boiling water, batter will be thin. Pour into pans. for round, bake 30-35 min. For 9x13, bake 35-40 min. Toothpick test. Cool 10 min then remove to wire racks or leave in 9x13. Frost.
