My daughter and I made this at a camp cooking training for a troop she used to belong to in Girl Scouts. It is very good!

Ingredients

2 cans apple pie filling
1 can 7up or sprite
1 - betty crocker gingerbread cak and cookie mix (or a spice cake mix)

How To Make dalla's harvest apple dump cake

Step 1

Line Dutch Oven with foil. Put the pie filling in the bottom of the DO. Sprinkle with gingerbread mix. Drizzle on the pop. Bake to directions on the cake box with the appropriate amount of coals on top and bottom of your DO.

Step 2

Note: the gingerbread gives this cake a more adult approved flavor than the spice cake. The girls in my unit liked the spice cake more, but the adults (ok, and a FEW of the girls) liked it with the gingerbread.
