I learned to make this cake with my Grandmother years ago. Its a very moist and delicious cake. Can be made up in layers and frosted w your favorite icing.

Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 2 sticks butter, unsalted
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and/or lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
How To Make cream cheese pound cake

Step 1*ALL INGREDIENTS SHOULD BE ROOM TEMP. *FLOUR SHOULD BE SIFTED Combine flour, salt, and baking powder and set aside

Step 2Beat butter and cream cheese together until well blended

Step 3Add sugar to butter and cream cheese mixture. Beat until light and fluffy. (color should be a pale yellow.)

Step 4Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition

Step 6Add dry ingredients. Mixing just til incorporated

Step 7Pour into greased and floured pound cake pan. Bake for 1hr to 1hr and 15mins
