Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 c
    molasses
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • ·
    instant coffee powder

How to Make COFFEE LAYER CAKE

Step-by-Step

  1. Beat the butter and sugar till creamy, add the eggs, then the molasses and coffee
  2. Mix the flour, salt spices, and baking powder together.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients together Mix thoroughly. Grease and flour layer cake pans.
  4. Spread batter evenly in pans.
  5. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick insearted comes out clean.
  6. Frost with white frosting and sift coffee powder on top.
