Ingredients
- BROWNIE LOAF
- 3/4 cup butter - softened
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 - eggs
- 1 3/4 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup hershey's cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 8 ounces plain yogurt - room temprature
- 1 cup walnuts - chopped
- COCOA FUDGE FROSTING
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup hershey's cocoa
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup walnuts-coarsely chopped
How To Make cocoa-walnut brownie loaf

Step 1BROWNIE LOAF Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla.

Step 2Add eggs one at a time, beating until mixture is light and fluffy.

Step 3Combine dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture in thirds alternately with yogurt.

Step 4Stirr in chopped walnuts. Pour into greased and floured 9"x 5"x 3" loaf pan.

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 65-75 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched with fingertip (top may be cracked). Cool in pan 10 minutes. Invert onto wire rack and cool completely.

Step 6Frost with Cocoa Fudge Frosting

Step 7COCOA FUDGE FROSTING Melt butter. Combine with sugar, milk, and vanilla; beat until smooth and creamy, adding additional powdered sugar if necessary for spreading consistency. After brownie loaf is frosted decorate with chopped walnuts.
