    rolled oats,divided
  • 2 c
    dark brown sugar,divided
  • 1 c
    whole milk,divided
  • 3/4 c
    cinnamon rolls flavored liquid creamer
  • 8 tsp
    ground cinnamon,divided
  • 4 Tbsp
    cinnamon-sugar,divided
  • 1 box
    spice cake mix
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 3
    egg whites
  • 2 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 3/4 c
    half and half
  • 1 pkg
    cream cheese,softened

How To Make cinnamon oats layer cake?

    In a medium jar,combine 1 cup rolled oats,1/2 cup brown sugar,1/2 cup whole milk, liquid creamer and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon;stir well for 30 seconds until blended.Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Coat two 8-inch round cake pans with cooking spray.Season with cinnamon/sugar between the cake pans.

    In large bowl,combine cake mix,water,oil,egg whites,1/2 cup brown sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon,beat on medium speed for 3 minutes.

    Add cinnamon oat mixture into the cake batter,beat again on low speed for 30 seconds.Pour into the cake pans.

    Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.Cool completely for 6 minutes.

    Heat margarine in a large skillet over medium heat.Add remaining rolled oats,1/2 cup brown sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon,saute for 3 minutes or until the oats are crispy.Remove from heat and set aside.

    In a medium bowl,combine heavy cream,half and half,remaining milk,cream cheese and remaining brown sugar and ground cinnamon;whisk well for 2 minutes or until smooth and creamy.

    Place a first layer cake on the serving plate.Spread half the frosting evenly and sprinkle with sauteed oat mixture onto the frosting on the cake.Press evenly with a spoon.

    Place a second layer cake on top.Spread remaining frosting on top and sides of the cake.Season with remaining cinnamon-sugar.
