Ingredients
- CAKE
- 1 cup chocolate malt balls
- 1 cup chocolate covered peanuts
- 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons malted milk powder
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cane sugar
- 3/4 cup chilled chocolate milk
- 3/4 cup butterscotch syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- FROSTING
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 4 tablespoons malted milk powder
- 5 tablespoons chilled chocolate milk
- 3 teaspoons mint extract
- 3/4 cup cane sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
How To Make cinnamon malted crunch cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2Coat a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with baking spray. Add chocolate malt balls and chocolate covered peanuts; mix well. Season with 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.

Step 3In a small saucepan, combine margarine, oil, cocoa, malted milk powder, and water. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring often for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 4In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour and sugar; whisk well until blended. Pour in the malted/cocoa mixture and whisk again until combined.

Step 5Mix in the chocolate milk, butterscotch syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, 1 tsp ground cinnamon and baking soda.

Step 6Pour batter into prepared baking pan. Season with remaining cinnamon evenly on the batter.

Step 7Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.

Step 8For the frosting, combine margarine, malted milk powder, and chocolate milk in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring often for 4 minutes. Remove from heat.

Step 9Stir in mint extract, sugar, cream cheese and peanut butter. Whisk together until blended.

Step 10Spread the frosting over the cooled cake evenly.
