Ingredients

  • CAKE
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon expresso powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • FILLING
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make chocolate swiss roll

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 350 degrees. Line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  • Step 2
    Beat the wet ingredients for the cake together then add the dry ingredients. Beat until well incorporated. Pour onto jelly roll pan and bake for about 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    sprinkle on a little powdered sugar and place a clean towel on top of the cake. Roll the cake from the long end and leave until cake is cooled.
  • Step 4
    Mix the ingredients together for the filling. Gently unroll the cooled cake and fill with filling. Roll back up and slice into rounds.
