Ingredients

  • CAKE

  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    expresso powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 4 large
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • FILLING

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese softened
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter softened
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make Chocolate Swiss Roll

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven 350 degrees. Line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the wet ingredients for the cake together then add the dry ingredients. Beat until well incorporated. Pour onto jelly roll pan and bake for about 10 minutes.
  3. sprinkle on a little powdered sugar and place a clean towel on top of the cake. Roll the cake from the long end and leave until cake is cooled.
  4. Mix the ingredients together for the filling. Gently unroll the cooled cake and fill with filling. Roll back up and slice into rounds.
