An old method for making cake from scratch. It truly makes the perfect chocolate cake. Oh - and can you say EASY?! No more box for me.

Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup flour
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 ounces baking chocolate
How To Make chocolate saucepan cake

Step 1Heat milk, chocolate, and butter until thickened. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar. Allow to cool.

Step 2Add beaten egg, vanilla, flour, and soda. Pour into a greased 8 inch pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
