    1/2 cup brown rice flour (i used 1/4 cup white and 1/4 cup brown)
  • ·
    1/4 cup sorghum flour
  • ·
    1/3 cup canola oil
  • ·
    1/3 cup cocoa
  • ·
    1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ·
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • ·
    1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ·
    1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • ·
    1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ·
    1/2 cup honey
  • ·
    3 eggs (we cant have eggs so i use 2t. apple sauce plus 2t. flaxseed mixed with 6 t. water)
  • ·
    1 teaspoon vanilla

How to Make Chocolate Pound Cake


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 Lightly grease a medium-size loaf pan.

    In a medium-size bowl, combine flours and oil. Stir briefly. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well. Batter will thicken with mixing. Spread in the prepared pan. Bake for approximately 30-45minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the middle tests clean.
