cake mix, devils food, plus ingredients listed on box
14 oz
sweetened condensed milk
1 c
semisweet chocolate chips


2 c
heavy whipping cream
1/2 c
powdered sugar
1/4 +2T c
cocoa powder
1/2 tsp
vanilla extract
mini chocolate chips

How to Make Chocolate Poke Cake


  • 1Bake cake according to directions on the box in a 9×13 cake pan.
  • 2Once cake comes out of the oven, poker holes all over the top.
  • 3Place sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl, heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • 4Whisk until smooth, microwave more if needed to melt chocolate completely.
  • 5Pour chocolate mixture over cake and spread to fill in holes.
  • 6Set cake aside to cool, about 1 hour. Then refrigerate to cool cake completly.
  • 7To make whipped topping, beat heavy cream until it begins to thicken. Add powdered sugar,cocoa, and vanilla extract, beat until stiff peaks form.
  • 8Spread evenly over cooled cake. Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
