chocolate frosting
This is my Grandmother's recipe. I ate a lot of it growing up and it tastes delicious.

Frosts one 13x9 cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa, unsweetened
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
How To Make chocolate frosting

Step 1Blend the cocoa and sugar together to avoid lumps. Place in medium sauce pan along with the 1/4 cup shortening and 1/3 cup milk.

Step 2On medium heat slowly bring to boil stir to mix ingredients then turn up the heat a little. When it reaches a rolling boil- time for one minute. Remove from heat.

Step 3Allow to cool and add 1-tsp vanilla extract Do NOT STIR UNTIL COOL OR IT WILL CRYSTALLIZE.
