This is the frosting my grandma always made. It is so simple and delicious. It never gets too hard. I had a friend who started using it to decorate cakes.

2 cups powdered sugar
1/3 teaspoon salt
1 large egg white
1/3 cup butter, margarine, or shortening
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make chocolate deluxe frosting

Step 1

Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and let set until room temperature.

Step 2

Beat on low until combined. Beat on high until fluffy.
Step 3

Frost a 9x13 cake or 1 dozen cupcakes.
