Ingredients
- CAKE
- 2 cups crushed butterscotch candies, divided
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 - eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Nutella
- 10 - fun-size milky way bars, sliced
- 1 - packet instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- BUTTERSCOTCH FROSTING
- 1 tube frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup butterscotch ice cream topping
How To Make chocolate butterscotch cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2To make the cake, grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Add 1 cup crushed butterscotch candies and milk chocolate chips.

Step 3In a large mixing bowl, add cake mix, water, oil, eggs, Nutella, sliced Milky Way bars, pudding mix and chocolate syrup. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes until blended.

Step 4Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Slowly sprinkle with butterscotch chips and press down with a wooden spoon.

Step 5Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely for 8 minutes.

Step 6For the butterscotch frosting, beat all ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl for 3 minutes until smooth.

Step 7Spread the frosting onto the cake and sprinkle with remaining crushed butterscotch candies.
