1Cream cheese and sugar creaming well. Add eggs, apple sauce and extract. Blend well.Add flour,soda, baking powder,salt, cinnamon, and cloves.Stir in apples and nuts.
2Pour batter evenly in a well greased or sprayed 9x13-inch baking dish.
Bake at 350^for 25 minutes then at 325^ for 15 minutes. Test for doneness with wooden toothpick inserted in center of cake. Remove from oven and cool completely.
3Apple Sauce Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 or 3 Tablespoon apple sauce
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch cloves
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon butter
Combine all ingredients. Beating with a silver spoon until well mixed adding more powdered sugar or apple sauce as needed. Spread on cooled cake. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
