This is my "go to" buttercream. Great on layer cakes and cupcakes!

Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 6-8 cups powdered sugar
How To Make buttercream frosting

Step 1With an electric mixer, mix butter until creamy and smooth.

Step 2Add 4 cups of powdered sugar, vanilla and milk and mix on low speed until well combined.

Step 3Add two more cups of powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy.

Step 4Add remaining powdered sugar if needed for consistency. 7 cups usually works for me.
