A good basic butter cream frosting.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 16 ounces confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons evaporated milk (or half & half)
  • dash salt

How To Make butter cream frosting (sallye)

  • Step 1
    With electric mixer on high speed, mix softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, salt and milk. Continue beating until well lmixed and frosting is smooth and creamy.
  • Step 2
    Do not overbeat or butter will begin to separate.
