Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 4 - eggs
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups sifted all purpose flour
- 2 cups black walnuts, chopped
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- GLAZE FOR TOPPING
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup black walnuts, chopped
How To Make black walnut cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 350° Mix butter and sugar together, then add eggs one at a time. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add flour mixture and milk to sugar and butter mixture, alternating flour and milk. Add walnuts last. Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350° for about one hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool, then add the glaze, pour slowly, small amounts at a time.

Step 2Add all ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Cook for one minute. Remove from heat, let cool, then pour over cake.
