brown sugar, firmly packed
whole cranberry sauce
karo corn syrup
How To Make bisquick cranberry-nut coffee cake
heat oven to 400^.
Mix brown sugar, walnuts and cinnamon ;set aside.
Combine baking mix, sugar, egg,and milk; beat vigorously 1/2 minute.
Spread batter in a greased square or round 9-inch baking pan; sprinkle with nut mixture. Spoon cranberry sauce over top.
Bake 20-25 minutes.
While warm, spread with icing.
Combine ingredients and beat until smooth, Spread on warm cake.
For a change-up: Banana Coffeecake:
2 c. Bisquick
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
3 T. butter,softened
1 lg. egg
1/4 c. sour milk (3T.milk+ 1 T. lemon juice)
3/4 c. mashed ripe banana
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Combine all ingredients; beat vigorously 1/2 minute.
Spread batter in greased 9-inch square or round baking pan.
Bake 20-25 minutes.While warm frost with above icing and sprinkle 1/4 c. finely chopped nuts on top.
