best peanut butter frosting

My son and grandson are both avid golfers and work part time at a golf course to pay for this luxury. Neither like red velvet cake but that was what was for dessert for my grandson's championship dinner (proud busia had to put that in) they were going to decline and the chef made them try it. Needless to say I have now learned to not only make frosting but to adjust it to smaller batches for brownies and for freezer to have on had. This frosting has a light taste without an overpowering peanut butter taste or aftertaste. Hope you all enjoy!

  • 1 lb
    butter, room temperature
  • 1 lb
    peanut butter
  • 4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c
    vanilla extract

    Cream butter

    Add peanutbutter
  • 3
    add vanilla
  • 4
    cream mixture well

    Add in powdered sugar 1 cup at a time

    Beat mixture till nice and smooth.

    The trick of this recipe is to measure as stated even when making less. use a scale for pounds and cups for cups. don't try to use say, a 1# jar of peanut butter instead of measuring because taste will not be right
