I got this recipe from my late Aunt Gwen. We still make every Thanksgiving (but it is great anytime) and it reminds us all of Gwen. She passed away from MS in 1989.

1 box yellow or white cake mix
1 stick butter, melted
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 large eggs
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 box powder sugar (16 oz)

How To Make aunt jacks cake

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325

Step 2

Mix cake mix, butter, 2 tsp vanilla, and 2 eggs together. Will be thick. Pat into a 9x13 greased pan.
Step 3

Mix cream cheese, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla, and powder sugar together. Pour on top of cake mixture.
Step 4

Bake for 45 minutes.
