Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooking apples, finely chopped, do not peel
  • 1/2 cup orange juice, divided
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1 - egg
  • 2 - egg whites
  • 2-2/3 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup 1% milk
  • 2-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar

How To Make apple-stuffed pound cake

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350. Spray a 10" bundt pan w/ cooking spray. In bowl, combine apples, 1/4 cup orange juice and cinnamon. In lg bowl, mix w/ beaters, the sugar and applesauce, beat 2 mins.
  • Step 2
    Add egg and egg whites. Slowly add 1/2 the flour, and the baking powder, milk, and 1/4 cup orang juice. Beat in remaining flour, beat in vanilla.
  • Step 3
    Pour 1/2 the batter into pan.Top w/ 1/2 the apple mix. Cover w/ remaining batter and then the remaining apple mix. Sprinkle w/ brown sugar. Bake about 1 hr, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
