My cousins and I love this for our birthdays. Grandma used to make it for every one of our birthdays and the holidays. We use to love having vanila ice cream with it.

Ingredients For apple hill cake

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2
    eggs
  • 4 c
    diced apples (gravenstein or red delicious are best.)
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • raisins, golden (optional)
  • chopped walnuts or chopped pecans(optional)

How To Make apple hill cake

  • 1
    Combine sugar, oil and eggs in a large bowl. Mix well
  • 2
    Add apples. Mix well.

    Sift remaining ingredients. (add raisins and nuts to dry ingredients if desired)

    Combine and mix well

    Pour into a 9x12 pan(greased) or a muffin/cupcake pan with liners works and bake one hour at 350 degrees.
