Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 3 - eggs
- 3 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 cups peeled chopped apples
- 2 cups flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- CARAMEL TOPPING
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
How To Make apple dapple cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees F

Step 2Grease and flour 9 or 10-inch tube pan.

Step 3Mix together sugar and oil. Add eggs and beat well. Blend in flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and vanilla.

Step 4Stir in apples, coconut, dates and pecans. Spoon batter into pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours or until wooden pick inserted in comes out clean.

Step 5Remove from oven and immediately pour hot caramel topping over cake and allow to soak in. Let cake cool completely before removing from pan. Chill for easier slicing..

Step 6To prepare caramel topping: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Heat and stir until blended. About 2 minutes.
