- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups peeled apples diced fine
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- BUTTER CREAM SAUCE
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup heavey whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL, BEAT EGGS, SUGAR, AND OIL.

Step 2IN ANOTHER BOWL COMBINE FLOUR, SODA, CINNAMON, AND SALT; GRADUALLY ADD TO BATTER, (BATTER WILL BE VERY STIFF) FOLD IN APPLES AND NUTS.

Step 3POUR INTO A GREASED 10 IN. FLUTED TUBE PAN, BAKE AT 325 FOR 1-1/4 TO 1-1/2 HOURS OR UNTIL CAKE TESTER SAYS DONE. COOL 10 MINUTES BEFORE REMOVING FROM PAN.

Step 5MELT BUTTER IN SMALL PAN. ADD SUGAR, CREAM AND VANILLA. COOK AND STIR OVER LOW HEAT UNTILL SUGAR IS DISOLVED.
