almond snack cake
This was a recipe I printed up to hand out when I sold Longaberger, with a note that it made a wonderful gift presented in the pottery piece with the recipe attached! What I didn't say, was almond is one of my favorite flavors, and I just love this cake. I have been known to omit the almonds on the top if I have to go to the store to buy them...and put on a basic drizzle instead (of course with more almond flavoring!).

Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups sugar, divided
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
How To Make almond snack cake

Step 1Bake at 350 degrees 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.
