There is something about a cake with pop in it that is a surprisingly good cake. Add the frosting, and you will make this often!

Ingredients
- 3 cups sifted cake flour
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 - eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon extract
- 7 ounces can 7up or sprite
How To Make 7 up cake

Step 1All ingredients must be at room temp.

Step 2Cream margarine and Crisco, then add sugar. Add eggs alternately with flour. Add lemon extract and 7up. Pour into well greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees 1 hour and 15 min. DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR WHILE BAKING. Frost with a mixture of 1 lb powdered sugar, 8 oz cream cheese, 1 stick butter, and 1 t vanilla, creamed well. cake will be hard when cooled, but soften when iced.
