This was my Grandma's recipe. She made the best pancakes. Hers were fluffy and good. All the grandkids that lived with her loved her pancakes. In fact we called her the Queen of Pancakes.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup warm buttermilk
- 1 cup warm whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, (optional)

Step 1Gather all your ingredients together. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and sugar. Then set it aside.

Step 2In a medium bowl beat eggs until fluffy and uniform in color.

Step 3Whisk in buttermilk and whole milk with beaten eggs.

Step 4Stir in melted butter and vanilla extract. (Vanilla extract optional).

Step 5Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients.

Step 6Pour the wet mixture into the well.

Step 7Stir until flour and wet mixture is incorporated. (Be careful here and do not over stir. Batter should be lumpy.

Step 8Make sure the pan is well greased. Pour batter into pan to the size pancake of your choice.

Step 9Let pancake cook until bubbles cover the top and then flip pancake. Once flipped, let it cook about a minute. Put on plate, add lots of butter and pour syrup (liberally) all over pancakes. Pray and enjoy...
