Ingredients

  • 2 small apples, gala
  • 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted, divided
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1 cup milk, fat free
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, granulated
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar, powdered

How To Make cinnamon-apple oven pancake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 F.
  • Step 2
    Core apples and cut into 1/4 inch slices.
  • Step 3
    Coat a 9 inch pie plate with cooking spray.
  • Step 4
    Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  • Step 5
    Add apples and increase heat to medium-high. Cook, tossing occasionally, until golden, 8-10 minutes. Add cinnamon; toss to coat.
  • Step 6
    Remove from heat; cool slightly. Arrange apples in an even layer on bottom of prepared pie plate.
  • Step 7
    Melt remaining 1 tablespoon butter. Pour butter into a blender; add milk, flour, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla and salt. Blend until smooth.
  • Step 8
    Pour in an even layer over apples. Bake until puffed and golden, 25-30 minutes.
  • Step 9
    Let cool until warm and then dust with powdered sugar. Slice into 6 pieces and serve warm.
