Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup unbleached flour
  • 2 teaspoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 4 teaspoons canola oil
  • 2 - egg whites

How To Make whole wheat pancakes

  • Step 1
    Stir together the flours, brown sugar, baking powder, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    In another bowl, stir together the milk and oil. Add to the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
  • Step 3
    In another clean small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into batter.
  • Step 4
    Cook on hot griddle and enjoy.
