Ingredients

  • 1 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 c
    unbleached flour
  • 2 tsp
    packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1 c
    skim milk
  • 4 tsp
    canola oil
  • 2
    egg whites

How to Make WHOLE WHEAT PANCAKES

Step-by-Step

  1. Stir together the flours, brown sugar, baking powder, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, stir together the milk and oil. Add to the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
  3. In another clean small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into batter.
  4. Cook on hot griddle and enjoy.
