This is a healthy whole grain hot cereal that is so hearty and nutritous. You should be able to find all these grains in the bulk section of almost any health food store.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup wheat berries
  • 1/2 cup buckwheat
  • 1/2 cup pearled barley
  • 1/2 cup steel cut oats or groats
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • - maple syrup, honey, sugar, brown sugar or low calorie sweetener to taste

How To Make whole grain crock pot cereal

  • Step 1
    Place all ingredients in a crock pot.
  • Step 2
    Cook on low about 8 hours or overnight as you sleep.
  • Step 3
    Add sweetener of choice. Add any dried or fresh fruit and nuts of choice if desired.
