This is a nice twist on "regular" pancakes. It goes well with fruit syrup (like raspberry).

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 - vanilla bean
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 - large egg, lightly beaten
How To Make vanilla bean pancakes

Step 1Combine first four ingredients in a medium bowl; make well in center.

Step 2Split vanilla bean, and scrape seeds into a small bowl; whisk in milk, oil, and egg until blended.

Step 3Add to well in dry ingredients, stirring until just blended.

Step 4Drop batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle, cooking until the top is covered with bubbles. Turn pancakes and cook other side.

Step 5Serve.
