This can be made on stovetop but if your an early bird like myself and You have some sleepyheads with You, This is nice for your loved ones to wake up to this wonderful smelling bowl of heaven. Also a nice way to start a big breakfast for holidays and when you have out a town guests. Easy out of the way side while preparing other breakfast items.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups skim milk or soy milk
  • 4 cups old fashion oats
  • 4 - bananas sliced
  • 3/4 cup walnuts
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar or agave
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make slow cooker banana walnut or pecan oatmeal

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in medium size crockpot. Cook on high for 1 hour, or low for 2 hours. Stiring occastionally. This is great if you have a family that wakes up at different times. when done just set to warm setting!
  • Step 2
    ENJOY!! Add fruit if desired! I warm heavy cream and pour over with more banana slices.
