I made these scones for an Autumn tea party and they were a hit! I served them with the Cinnamon Butter and that took them over the top! I have since been serving them to my family and they really love them. I found the recipe in a magazine and boy am I am glad that I did

Ingredients

  • PUMPKIN SCONES

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/3 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 5 Tbsp
    cold butter pieces
  • 2/3 c
    heavy cream (whipping)
  • 1 c
    plain pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)

How to Make Pumpkin Scones

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly spray bakings sheet with Pam or Pam-like spray.
  2. Combine flour through salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Cream in wet ingredients.
    Knead 5 or 6 times.
  3. Roll to about 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into triangles.
  4. Place on prepared pan. Bake 15 - 20 minutes until golden brown. Serve with:

    1 stick butter
    1/2 Tbsp. light brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon

    cream all together
