  • 2 c
    old fashioned oats
  • 3/4 c
    maple syrup
  • 3/4 c
    sunflower nut butter
  • 1/4 c
    almond butter
  • 1 c
    unprocessed wheat bran
  • 1 c
powdered protein, whichever flavor you like (we use chocolate peanut butter)
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1 c
    chopped prunes

How to Make Protein Bars

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until combined (the mixture will be very thick). Be sure to combine well so the bars do not crumble.
  2. Press the mixture evenly into an 8 x 8 greased baking dish. Refrigerate to firm. Cut into 8 bars.
