These protein bars are a quick, easy, and healthy breakfast. They are also jam packed with fiber and always carry me through to lunch. A breakfast you can feel good about!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup sunflower nut butter
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1 cup unprocessed wheat bran
  • 1 cup powdered protein, whichever flavor you like (we use chocolate peanut butter)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup chopped prunes

How To Make protein bars

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until combined (the mixture will be very thick). Be sure to combine well so the bars do not crumble.
  • Step 2
    Press the mixture evenly into an 8 x 8 greased baking dish. Refrigerate to firm. Cut into 8 bars.
