Using a recipe from one of my many cookbooks, I baked something this morning that I enjoy for breakfast.
Today I will make something that is a favorite with my husband, he prefers basic things like: meatloaf, beef or chicken potpie, stew, roast turkey, or a frozen meal from one of those "named brand" producers.
I love casseroles, soups, salads, and comfort foods with rice, pasta, or mixed steamed or roasted vegetables.
This recipe will have a picture added whenever I try a new recipe.

  • 3/4 c
    pumpkin, canned or cooked
  • 1 medium
    apple, peeled/chopped
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts, chopped
  • WET INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 large
    egg
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • DRY INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 c
    a/p flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • STREUSEL

  • a pinch
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • a pinch
    freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp
    butter, cut up into bits
  • 1/3 c
    a/p flour
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp
    light brown sugar

How to Make Pumpkin Apple Muffins-Bakin Time

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, grease muffin pan (12 muffins).
    Combine dry ingredients. Cream butter with sugar and add egg, vanilla and mix with dry ingredients; add fruit and stir until all are mixed.
  2. Bake and cool briefly, enjoy with hot coffee!
