Ingredients

  • 1 c
    peanut butter, crunchy or 3/4 c creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 c
    honey
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    oats
  • 1 1/2 c
    rice kripies cereal
  • OPTIONAL MIXINS - CHOCOLATE CHIPS, RAISINS, NUTS, COCONUT, DRIED FRUIT, ETC

How to Make Not Your Typical Dry Granola Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine peanut butter, honey and brown sugar in microwavable bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir, add vanilla.
  2. Mix oats and rice krispies cereal in a large bowl. Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal and mix well. Let cool slightly and add mixins.
  3. Pat tightly into 9 x 11 pan, pressing the mixture into corners. Freeze 10-15 minutes to firm the bars. Cut in to bars and store in airtight container at room temperature.
