Ingredients
- 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- 4 cups evaporated skim milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup well packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup black walnuts
- 1/2 cup dried cherries
- 1 large apple, peeled and diced
How To Make michigan baked oatmeal

Step 1Preheat oven to 400°

Step 2coat a 3 qt. casserole dish or baking pan with nonstick spray. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Transfer to baking dish.

Step 3Bake uncovered for 45 minutes. Serve hot.

Step 4variation: omit black walnuts and cherries and instead add 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 cup raisins, and 1/2 cup chopped peanuts.
