Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter, cold
  • 6 - eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • - powdered sugar

How To Make french toast

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in microwave in a glass measuring cup
  • Step 2
    Pour melted butter into an appropriate serving dish
  • Step 3
    Measure milk using the same measuring cup
  • Step 4
    Turn griddle on
  • Step 5
    Whisk eggs in a shallow dish, gradually adding milk
  • Step 6
    Add flavorings, cinnamon and brown sugar
  • Step 7
    Continue whisking until mixture is a mellow yellow and cinnamon and sugar are evenly distributed
  • Step 8
    Test griddle with a few drops of water and when it scizzles it is ready
  • Step 9
    Dip bread into mixture one slice at a time coating completely then immediately place on grill
  • Step 10
    Flip once and toast till golden brown
  • Step 11
    Arrange on serving plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with melted butter and warm maple syrup
