homemade raisan walnut granola cereal

You can substitute any chopped dried fruit for the raisans. And any nut for the walnuts. I've tried all variations.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups oats(not quick cooking)
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground clove
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup light brown surgar-packed

How To Make homemade raisan walnut granola cereal

  • Step 1
    Mix all dry ingredients together in a big bowl except raisans. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil, honey and vanilla, just until starts bubbling. When it comes to a boil pour honey over the oat mixture and stir until well blended.
  • Step 3
    Put a sheet of foil over 2 cookies with sides on them. Split half in each pan and spread out in a layer.
  • Step 4
    Bake in 300 degrees for 40 minutes. Stirring every 10 minutes. When finished take out of oven and let cool completely in the pan.
  • Step 5
    When cooled completely, add raisans and mix.
  • Step 6
    Put mixture in a sealed container. Serve with milk. also great in yogurt and on ice cream.
